Cheder End of Year Fun

A large and lively group of cheder children, along with their families, friends and parents, enjoyed a fun event on the final day of the cheder year. After a sumptuous falafel lunch, they made and decorated pottery, danced in the garden room and played outdoor games in the sunshine. A messy time was had by all.

Earlier, during cheder itself, prizes for attendance and progress, menschkeit and graduation were presented by Rabbi Hammond, and Chairman Barbara Kurtz gave awards for the design of greetings cards, many of which will soon be in use within the synagogue.
