Wow! What a great time we had at Cheder in Gan Yeladim (Kindergarten) today!
We did lots of fun stuff. First, we played with all the toys, puzzles, playdough and bikes while our mummies and daddies had coffee and biscuits. Lucky for us, they shared the biscuits.
Then it was time to play 'Shabbat'. We picked a Shabbat Ema (Mummy) and a Shabbat Abba (Daddy). Ema lit the candles while Abba gave out the wine (at least, that's what our teacher called it, but I'm a bit suspicious that the wine was a bit on the juice-y side...) We were told a Jewish story while we shared our challah, and then it was time for Arts and Crafts. I made my very own Kiddush cup! Then we played a bit more before Kitah Aleph joined us for Music.
I know the whole Aleph Bet song now, although I still get a bit confused during 'The Incy Weensey Akavish'. Then it was time to go get my big sister, 'cause Cheder was over. I'm sad that Cheder is ending for the summer holiday, but I can't wait to come back in September!!!
